Made another batch of ice cream:
1. Vanilla flavour
2. With almond slices
Then, because the first batch of almond flavoured ice cream was bitter because I put in too much almond essence, I mixed the almond ice cream with the vanilla ice cream.
That way, I can avoid throwing away the almond ice cream, because the latter is really bitter to taste. I also mixed the vanilla and almond ice cream because the two flavours are quite similar, so they would be able to hide each other’s flaws.
1. Made another batch of ice cream. This time with pandan essence. Mother said it tasted like coconut, which, is true. It was a larger batch than the one made on 14 Mar 2020, with double the amount of content.
Mother wants the ice cream to be less creamy. She said that the sweetness is okay.
2. Tidied up a box for another full set of bedsheet, pillow cases, and bolster case, together with their protectors. Just so that one box is a full set. That means that when I change my bedsheets, I will refer to one box. Then when I have dried cleanly washed bedsheets, I will put a full set in another box.
Technically speaking, if you lack money, and have found your perfect brand of bedsheets and protectors, you would only need 3 full sets for every bed in the house.
So I had a taste of the ice cream I made just now: it was bitter and fiery to the tongue.
That means Father was honest in his feedback, because I had thought he was being negative and discouraging as usual, which, is his usual sort of self.
I clearly had put in too much almond essence, and it wasn’t sweet enough. The reason for the latter was that recipes for sweet confectionary usually specify quite a visibly large amount of sugar. So I tended—just as I did this evening—to put in only about half of what is specified in the recipe, with the obvious result being the end product not being sweet enough.
The reason why I had put in double the amount of almond essence was that I had doubled the specified amount of the other ingredients so that I could make a larger batch. This was clearly a mistake. So next time I will just put in the specified amount of the flavour, and then increase the amount of the other ingredients to puff up the size of the batch.
Luckily, this is just a small batch, so I won’t have to endure it for long. I doubt Mother and Father would take another portion on this account.
Today I did some stuff:
1. Remove old, non working air con from the room, so that the air flow of the room is better. This improves ventilation, which should help with preventing mould growth. It will also mean I may not need an air conditioner.
2. Made a small batch of ice cream. Father said lousy things. Mother was very quiet. That means she is very unhappy in the sense of being jealous.
3. Cleaned the toilet. My toilet.
4. Did 400 rotations of the white skipping rope and 300 rotations of the grey rope. Did not really feel tired, so I made a note that I should skip faster with the grey rope next time. The grey rope is more difficult because it is heavier.
