Barbequed field mice are really nice.

I mean, if you look at gourmet, connoisseur categories of cuisine, they are all a bit exotic and weird. Barbequed field mice is like luxury leather goods with ostrich leather; they are not common in these parts.

I always kind of look down on people who say they can afford luxury leather goods but purchase them in cow leather. Ostrich leather is much more scratch resistant.

Of course, maybe they buy cow leather goods to show off that they can just scratch it and then change another one six months later after it has been rough-handled (some people call it “man-handled”, like the brand of the military truck—that brand of truck is a vehicle for all seasons.)

Hence, I like canvas bags. And also why I don’t understand some Instagram profiles where they show Hermes handbags in glass cases: I don’t understand what the fuss is about.
