Exercise, and exercise: because I’m not very strong

Ah, I still have an unused copy. That is very appropriate for times like this, when you have to exercise so that the computers can crunch some data.

And then I discovered I had used one-third of it, of which the first sentence on the first page reads: “All good money is made with the prospect of death.”

But, only students at leisure have time for reflecting on philosophy readings.

Dear Apple, your customer just died, but it doesn’t matter of course, because they want to give more wasted money to Manila, I suppose?—and I happen to be of Chinese ethnicity; I heard bad stuff happen to Asian Americans (especially the Chinese, and the Koreans, excluding Filipino), as well. Luckily I got a paper shredder. Customer Lifetime Value has ended.

I know the English on this blog is very terrible. I think it must make sense, given that the Filipino can be sloppy and they want the Chinese and Koreans cheap, while fleecing them all at the same time, so that Manila has money. Even if one says the foreign aid to Manila has ended, that was year and years of foreign aid money.

While the rest of us slogged, of course.

Let me do the sums for you:

  • In year 2001: USD to SGD is about 1.7
  • The CCAD scholarship was US$24,000 (I had put forth then, an application for the MOE Art Scholarship together with the CCAD scholarship letter, because it was insufficient to cover everything)
  • My last drawn salary was S$3,600 monthly
  • And when I applied for the scholarship, I could already spell. Yes, my Filipino ex-colleagues couldn’t spell; my salary at that company was S$3,000 monthly
  • But then… ta-da! It’s Singapore! They don’t believe you when you tell them the Filipinos direct from Philippines are a dime a dozen
